140 years ago, Levi’s transformed the streets when it invented blue jeans. With its ‘Made & Crafted’ line, Levi’s wants to capture this pioneering spirit once again. Its goal? To design tomorrow’s classics. Levi’s designers compare the design process to writing a script. Which item of clothing will be the hero? Which will play a supporting role? But above all, do the garments succeed in telling a good story? For this season, the designers have chosen the 1953 denim jacket as their hero and core source of inspiration. This comes across in the summer collection, not only in the materials used, but also in the wide, straight–cut designs and the focus on collars.
